Wedding is a once a life-time event, I must capture all the shoots for my wedding events. Then over the years, I can see the photos and recapture the moments.
Eventually, all the thousands of money spent on the photography services ended up collecting dust in the cabinet.
Usually for the guys: Wow liao, why spend so much money when the album will be collecting dusts in the cabinet? The most safe for the moments is in our memory.

The best way to remember your Big Day is always inside your memory.
To catch a glimpse of the happening which you have missed (for example when the bride is waiting inside the room while the sabo is on-going), you may want to get a videographer to catch all the on-going happenings.
Once again, there are several service providers for videography.
1) The production company is providing such services at a premium rates
2) Photographers are working with videographers, coming out as a package deal
3) Free-lancer at a much lower price
4) Your friends or relatives at the price of an "Ang Bao"
See your budget, know what you want. There are plenty of choices.

The bridegroom are the saddest as this is worst than shopping.

1) Rent or buy from the bridal boutique either on "Off the rack" or "Made to measure" basis
2) Buy from bridal gown boutique
3) Wear your mom's
An average cost of a gown can cost from $500 to $5k+, depending on the materials and add-on.
Generally speaking, it is cheaper to sign up for a package from a bridal boutique.
Do shop around, patience would lead you to a bargain!

Taking a break
Its a darn tiring preparation process for one's wedding. Hence, one must take a break at times to relax and refresh.
At times, one's view tends to be narrow after following the same path over a period of time.

Renovation
After purchasing your first housing - may it be HDB or landed property, the next logical move is to renovate your new home.
Even for condominium in shift in conditions or premium HDB flat, only the basic amenities such as flooring are provided. Its truly shift-in condition if you decide to purchase the show flat.
Renovation is required if you want to add some fittings or features such as feature wall,walk in ware robe, etc to your new place.
To do so, a contractor or an interior designer service is required.
For contractor, the main source of contact is from the yellow pages, followed by words of mouth or forums such as renotalk.com.
For Interior design, just head to EXPO. There is almost a furniture and interior design fair every month.

A good method to save is to hunt for bargains at a wedding fair.
On a wedding fair, the main dish is the venue which holds the banquet.
The side dishes are wedding related merchants such as wine supplier, photographers, etc.
The important issue is that packages are enhanced (either cheaper or more goodies throw in) at a wedding fair.
Upcoming wedding fair is the "Dreams Weddings @ Novotel" on 1 September 2007.

The rental market is for you if you cannot worth to buy a property or you are investing your capital to get a better return.
The rental market includes HDB flats, condominium and landed property.
You can just call up a housing agent from agencies such as ERA or look up the Internet yourself.
For HDB flats, its either renting or whole flats or just the rooms. The most competitive price range for the budget conscientious.
For landed property and condominium, the whole units is usually to be rented out. This is for those who has more spare cash to spend.

Where to stay after marriage? Part 1
After she had accepted your proposal to be yours forever, its time to start building our own nest.
Where and how should we build our nest?
The most common housing type for Singaporean is to apply for a flat from Housing Development Board (HDB).
Things to look out for when hunting for a HDB flat.
1) Built to order (BTO)
A scheme where you already booked and paid a deposit (from 5% to 20% of purchase price). HDB will proceed with the construction when 75% of the units are sold.
You would be the first owner to the flat and purchase price would relatively be cheaper than from the open market.
But need to wait at least 2 - 4 years for the construction to be completed.A trend that the floor area getting smaller and smaller. For example, a 5 room flats floor area is getting from 130 sqm to 110sqm.
2) Open Market
Just get a resale flat in the open market. Do try to stay near to your parents and get an additional CPF rebate of $40,000.
Able to shift in relatively fast when the legal works had been completed. But then, you are not the first owner of the property.
3) Balloting & walk in selection
HDB occasionally has balloting exercise or walk in selection exercise for buyers to purchase those unsold flats.
Just need to watch out for advertisement on the above. If you need a flat urgently, want to be the first owner and do not mind selecting those leftover flats, this is the choice for you.

First the guy has to get a ring.
Too big a ring costs a bomb, too small a ring her face turns black.
Plenty of choices are available, ranging from "Taka" to "Lee Hwa" to "Charlotte" and "Larry".
The coke pull ring is no longer acceptable,perhaps an "Anything" pull ring is the "in" thing now.
Second, the setting for the proposal.
There are 2 every couple's little secret: First is how the bringing up of question to get togehter and the second is on about how the proposal takes place.
By the beach is *yawn*;With a candle light dinner is *blurp*; Kneeling down on your knee never fails!
One thing for sure is: Be creative and surprise her and she is yours.
By the way, it is getting common that the lady proposes to her man.
So ladies, propose to the man if he is a very good catch!
